The short version: your PDFs never leave your device. All processing happens inside your browser. We do not upload, store, or have any way to see your documents.

1. Who we are

FillPDF.app ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at https://fillpdf.app/. FillPDF.app is a free, browser-based tool for filling out PDF forms.

2. What happens to your PDF files

When you upload a PDF to FillPDF.app, the file is read directly into your browser's memory using the FileReader API and processed locally by JavaScript running in your browser tab.

Your PDF is never sent to our servers. We do not operate a server that receives or stores uploaded documents.
Your PDF is never sent to any third party. All rendering, editing, and PDF generation happens on your device.
When you close or refresh the tab, the file is discarded from memory.

If you download the completed PDF, the file is generated locally and saved directly to your device. We never receive a copy.

3. Information we do collect

We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information, and we do not require you to create an account.

Like most websites, our hosting provider (GitHub Pages) may automatically record standard technical information in server logs when you visit the site — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visited. This is a normal part of serving any website and is not linked to the content of any PDF you process.

4. Analytics

We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use FillPDF.app in aggregate. If enabled, we record anonymous interaction events such as:

PDF uploaded (file size category only)
PDF editor opened (number of pages only)
Text, signature, highlight, or shape added
PDF downloaded (number of annotations only)
Generic error codes

We never send the contents of your PDF to Google Analytics. That includes any text, names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, signatures, or images contained in your document.

Google Analytics may set cookies to distinguish unique visitors. You can opt out at any time by using your browser's cookie settings, or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. Cookies

FillPDF.app itself does not set any cookies. Cookies may be set by Google Analytics if analytics is enabled, and by Cloudflare (our CDN provider) for security and performance purposes.

6. Third-party services

The site loads the following resources from third parties:

Cloudflare CDN — serves the open-source PDF.js and pdf-lib libraries.
GitHub Pages — hosts the website files.
Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics (optional, only if enabled by us).

These providers may see your IP address as a normal part of serving web content. They never receive the contents of your PDFs.

7. Children's privacy

FillPDF.app is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Your rights

Because we do not collect personal information and cannot see your documents, there is no personal data for us to export, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, contact us and we will investigate.

9. Data retention

We do not retain any PDF files. Anonymous analytics data (if analytics is enabled) is retained by Google according to your Google Analytics property settings, typically for 14 months.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
